Samsung unveils 110

Samsung has unveiled the world's largest Ultra HD television ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next week.

The 110-inch display is capable of hosting images at 2.6 metres by 1.8 metres, but is unlikely to fit in the average living room.

The giant-sized TV joins the 85-inch model that Samsung unveiled at CES 2013 on the market, and will go on sale in China, the Middle East and select European territories on Monday.

Pricing for the 100-inch display is yet to be announced, but the 85-inch model debuted at $40,000 (£25,000).

Samsung is planning to launch the television in a wider range of markets nine weeks after its release, and will formally showcase the hardware at CES next week.

CES 2014 takes place in Las Vegas between January 7 and 10.
