Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update Releasing Late November

There are smartphone users around the world excited to get their phones updated to the latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat version operating system on their Samsung Galaxy S4 phones. Thankfully, that update is coming late next month, November, according to a leaked timetable on the XDA forums. This is not an official announcement from Samsung, however, so it must be taken with a grain of salt at the moment. It seems like a logical release window, though.

The Android 4.4.4 KitKat update will release for Samsung Galaxy S4 mini devices, such as the Duos GT - I9192 and International S4 Mini GT - I9190 late in November, according to a report from Android Geeks. The update in question is said to offer mostly security patches and some minor bug fixes, but it's still a worthy update. It has not been revealed if there will be other new features, unfortunately, but everyone can hope for something good to be included.

This is the final release of the KitKat build, as Google is preparing the forthcoming launch of Android 5.0 L, which is said to be nicknamed Key Lime Pie. This upcoming update will launch for all Nexus devices. Samsung will begin working on the new update once it has been released, which means the ROM should be available in early 2015 for all Galaxy smartphones and tablets. It is unclear whether the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will receive Android 5.0 L, however.

Samsung won't just be offering the 4.4.4 KitKat update to the Galaxy S4 mini models, as the document stated the Galaxy S5 and Note 3 will receive the update by the end of this month. The original Galaxy S4 and Note 2 are said to receive the Android 4.4.4 update the same time as the S4 mini models in November.

At this time, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Android 4.4.4 testing status is in the 'pending' phase. Once it launches in 'Final Testing' later this month, we will know it will released shortly. Fans the world over are praying the update's testing phase goes smoothly, as everyone wants the new KitKat update on their smartphone devices.
