Apple rides on the crest of its products' momentum with the unveiling of 'Apps for ...

In a fitting follow-up to its latest software update which is the iOS 8.0.2, technology titan is not resting on its laurel as it launches series of features to boost its stock further.

Apple gained momentum shortly after it released its flagship phones but the bendgate issue and the flawed iOS 8.0.1 caused some chink on Apple's mighty armor. Apple's latest iOS 8.0.2 software update somewhat solved the company's woes.

According to iDownloadBlog, the new section dedicated to 'Apps for Health' can be accessed from the Featured tab in the App Store, using iPhone and iPod touch device. You can also see the app in the home page for iPhone apps in the App Store using a desktop computer.

The new section which is titled 'Apps for Health' is endorsed by Apple and comes with some contents which read as, ' Experience an entirely new approach to wellness where your fitness app can talk to your calorie tracker, your doctor can be automatically notified of updates to your health data, and great apps work together for a healthier you. This handpicked collection highlights the best fitness, nutrition, and medical apps customized for iOS 8.'

This new section was probably set to be announced as part of the launching of the iOS 8 on September 17. But then a bug in the first release of the latest major iteration of Apple's mobile operating system paved the way for the momentary elimination of HealthKit-compatible apps in the App Store.

That bug was expected to be fixed with the release of the iOS 8.0.1 software update but this turned out to be plagued with a bug as well. The bug give rise to loss of cellular network connectivity and Touch ID functionality on both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. With the release of the iOS 8.0.2 software, however, Apple finally solved its problems.

Apart from 'Apps for Health,' Apple also now comes with the following sections on the App Store in promotion of apps augmented for iOS 8 such as Photo Apps for iOS 8: Tools for Better Pictures,' 'Touch ID: Unlock Apps with Your Fingerprint, ' 'Gorgeous Games for iOS 8: Enhanced by Metal,' and 'Extend Your Apps: Keyboards, Photo Filters & More.'
