The HBO Go Library is now available on mobile devices and televisions following the release of Chromecast-compatible apps for Android and iOS. The popular cable network, home to shows like Boardwalk Empire and Game of Thrones, was one of the most sought after apps to gain Chromecast support. Users can now browse through the HBO library of content and stream on-demand episodes of their favorite shows.
The addition of Chromecast means that HBO's vast content library is now more accessible. Cable providers already offer on-demand viewing from HBO, but the interfaces are slow and unintuitive. HBO GO is a much better solution because its listings expand back to past seasons, canceled shows, more movies, and video organized according to category. It's also much easier to navigate than most TV setups.
HBO subscribers can login with their account details and tap the Chromecast button next to the HBO Go logo in order to begin streaming.
