The Samsung Galaxy S6 is well on its way to becoming one of the most awaited phones of 2015 as new leaks indicate that the company will launch two versions of the phone model. Each version will have a different processor. There even rumors of a Galaxy S6 Edge in the works.
The latest leak about the Samsung Galaxy S6 came after it was reported that the phone was spotted being tested with the AnTuTu benchmark app. The benchmark test results were then leaked as a screenshot. In it the Samsung Galaxy S6 goes by the model number SM-G925F.
The specs in the screenshot reveal that the phone will have a 5.5-inch display with cutting edge 2560 x 1440 quad HD resolution. The phone will have a 64-bit eight core Exynos processor coupled with an ARM Mali-T760 GPU. There will be 3GB of RAM onboard along with the standard 32GB of storage.
The camera specs are a 20-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera.
The phone will run the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
Earlier leaks pointed out that Samsung could launch two Galaxy S6s, one with the latest 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and the other with Exynos SoC.
Forbes says recent rumors indicated that the Galaxy S6 will be released side by side with the 'Galaxy S6 Edge.' The 'Galaxy S6 Edge' will incorporate the curved right edge of the Galaxy Note 4 into its display. Again, the bendable edge will operate separately when compared to the main screen of the phone.
The phone will feature shortcuts and widgets that lead directly to apps. This will allow users to play videos or games on the screen and simultaneously access new emails, apps and text messages.
As for the release date, the Samsung Galaxy S6 could arrive in the market in April 2015.
