Recode is reporting that the event, typically reserved only for the company's annual refresh of its smartphone line, will also include the introduction of Apple's so-called 'iWatch' alongside two new iPhones.
The report also states that the device will 'make good use' of Apple's new HomeKit and HealthKit platforms, for integration with smart home devices and fitness apps respectively, that the company announced back in June would be part would be part of its iOS 8 mobile operating system update, due this fall. Recode, known for having an accurate track record regarding Apple news, originally reported earlier this month that the iPhone event would be slated for September 9.
