Apple awarded solar power patent for MacBook
Apple has reportedly won patent for a MacBook that would be powered with solar cells. The patent called 'Electronic device display module' describes a method to power laptops through solar light. Apple 's display module describes two sided displays for the lid of a portable computer, the PC World reported. While the front of the lid facing the user would still sport the typical display screen, the rear plate, made of 'electrochromic glass' would serve more than just a cover.
