Today, Google announced a useful addition to Gmail. Users can now edit Microsoft Office documents which are attached to emails. In Google Drive, an edit icon has been added to attachments that can be clicked. It will automatically convert Office files to Google Docs, Sheets or Slides.

Google Drive has been the pioneer for business users because it offers a wide variety of uses and applications. They have options for cloud storage and cloud-based productivity platforms. Hence, they are continuously providing updates and additional services to keep their clients satisfied.

The new feature enables the user to turn Microsoft Office documents into a Google Drive file so there is only one document to keep track of and get an access to revision history. Also, the document can be accessed anywhere because it is available in the cloud and there is a feature where it can be viewed offline.

The new packed features enhance documents, spreadsheets, and slides as well as convert and edit more than 15 Microsoft Office file formats directly on the Drive platform. Furthermore, Docs is not limited to just text as users can enhance and edit their documents with tables and images. Users can also customize their documents.

Subsequently, images can be edited directly in the Docs platform by just inserting it to the document and right click to access its settings. Options for editing entail changing its color, transparency, brightness and even contrast.

For slides in Powerpoint, new updates include having the ability to number individual slides or all slides which makes staying organized easier and hassle-free. Also, Microsoft Integration is now available. Google Drive makes it easier to integrate Word, Excel and Powerpoint in the platform. Others can also edit the work at the same time. So, it's perfect for companies and also for group activities.
