Anna Stoehr 'Oldest Teenager' in Online Community

It has been reported that Anna Stoehr lied about her actual age in order to have an account on Facebook. Anna is one of the oldest living people in the world at the age of 119.

Stoehr, also the oldest resident of Minnesota, decided to mention her age 15 years less than her actual age because her false date of birth, i. e. 99 years allowed her to have an account on Facebook. And with her actual date of birth, she could not sign-in into the Facebook account as the earliest year listed on Facebook to create a new profile is 1905 and Stoehr was born on October 15, 1900.

According to KARE-TV, Stoehr is thankful to a Verizon sales representative who helped her learn how to e-mail and even taught her to work on Google.

Anna Stoehr is now the 'oldest teenager' in the online community. She operates an iPad to stay in touch with her family and friends on the social networking site.

When asked why she wanted a Facebook account, Anna replied by saying that she wanted to keep up with time. Therefore, she decided to sign up on Facebook.

Soon Stoehr will become114 years old, and then she will not be able to select her actual birth year during the sign-up process, reported KARE-TV.

Stoehr said that she lived happily and independently at her farm house and remains in touch with family and friends. But she said that there are not so many friends left that are of her age. Facebook helped her get some new friends and now she has 30 friends on Facebook.

KARE reported that Stoehr actively uses a variety of modern devices to stay connected with friends and family. It also reported that Stoehr even knows how to video-chat with people.
