Lenovo Announces Three New Models

Apparently Lenovo is taking it upon itself to make sure that everyone can have an Android tablet as they are ready to sell low-cost Android tablets for only $199.

The new Tab S8 Android-based tablet will run on Google's Android OS version 4.4. It will feature the quad-core Atom chip from Intel, with the code name of Bay Trail. This is a pretty bad ass chip normally set aside to run PC-level applications and for rendering high-def video (like games).

This 8-inch offering comes with 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. By the way, that's the same resolution as Google's Nexus 7, which is only 7-inches and costs a little more ($229).

At 7.87 millimeters, the new Tab S8 is very thing and it only weight 294 grams. The battery is moderate as it can run for seven straight hours without a charge. It is also equipped with an 8 MP rear camera and a 1.6 MP front facing camera. It features 16 GB of storage and wireless capabilities (wi-fi and Bluetooth) and will ship to many countries.

Lenovo has also announced that they plan to release their largest gaming laptop: the Y70 Touch. This computer has a 17.3-inch touchscreen and has the capabilities to run Intel Corei7 processors as well as Nvidia GTX-860M graphics cards. All of this in a $1300, 26 millimeter laptop. These are scheduled to ship next month.

Finally, Lenovo has also announced that they plan to release a new gaming desktop called the Erazer X315. This computer will feature Advanced Micro Device processors (named Kaveri) and is configurable for as much as 32 GB DDR3 DRAM and 4TB of hard disk space. You could also opt for 2 TB of hybrid solid-state/hard disk storage. Priced at only $600, these are scheduled to ship in November.
