Ladies and gentlemen, meet the world's thinnest tablet. That's the claim being tossed out there by Intel and Dell in regards to the latter's forthcoming Venue 8 7000 Series Android slate, and at just 6mm thin, we won't dispute the claim. In addition to having the slimmest profile among its fellow tablets, the Venue 8 7000 is also the first to incorporate Intel's RealSense 3D technology.

It's equipped with Intel's RealSense camera, which gives the slate depth perception similar to the human eye. Using the RealSense camera, the Venue 8 7000 can measure 3D images by capturing different layers. It can then determine the distance and size of a real-world object, though in time, it will be interesting to see how developers take advantage of the technology.

The Venue 8 7000 sports an 8.4-inch OLED display with a 2K (2560x1600) resolution that looks absolutely fantastic. An edge-to-edge screen makes the most out of the available real-estate. There's also a micro-USB 2.0 port for charging the device, a volume button, a power button, and front-facing speakers on the bottom.
