Upcoming Android Phones 2014: Sony Working On Another 'Selfie' Phone ...

There are a number of interesting upcoming Android phones for 2014 headed our way especially when the IFA showcase in Berlin kicks off during the first week of September.

However, as early as now, it seems as if Sony is already preparing to make a big splash during the event with news of its new-found fondness to selfie-focused cameras.

According to a report by GSM Arena, the Japanese phone maker is reportedly developing another selfie smartphone that looks like a perfume bottle. How is that even possible?

In the image above, the alleged Sony selfie phone will pack the usual smartphone body, but gets a rotating camera at the top. This means the rear camera can also take the selfie shots or make video calls for the user.

The odd thing is that that swivel part is made out of glass, save for the camera's sensor.

This is certainly not the first time we see a rotating camera. Oppo first introduced this concept with the N1 later last year and it received good reviews as far as design and aesthetics are concerned.

In the report, the alleged selfie Sony phone will pack a 1/2.3' Exmor RS sensor and dual-conversion Sony G lens for the camera whose resolution is still unknown. Also on board will be a 3-inch display, some NFC capabilities for quick picture sharing and Wi-Fi support.

We'll bring you more details about uniquely-designed smartphone from Sony.
