Payment cards with a chip are not safe: beware of scams

There is a drive to take chip-equipped payment cards in the United States following high profile data breaches at the big distribution and restaurant chains over the past 12 months. Experts say that the passage to this system of payment fraud will not disappear.


EMV (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) has spread so much throughout the world, and in the last decade has been the system of payment cards used more in Europe, also known as chip and PIN.


In order to encourage the adoption of EMV in the United States, brands of credit cards they want to shift responsibility in October 2015 Those who have not improved the system will be held responsible for fraudulent transactions.
