New electric supercar, Renovo Coupe, makes debut (VIDEO)

The all-new Renovo Coupe, an American-made electric supercar, has just made its debut at Pebble Beach, California on Sunday, and it looks amazing.

The supercar, which was built off of a modified chassis from Shelby American, features two electric-motors that produce an equivalent of 500 horsepower with rear-wheel drive. The Renovo Coupe can apparently get from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds, making the car's acceleration faster than any other American-made electric car, or so the company claims.

The Renovo Coupe can also top out at around 129 miles per hour, which isn't bad for an electric car. According to Automotive News, Renovo has been secretly working on the car for around four years now, and just now showed it off at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Although the supercar made its debut, the company has said that it will not be released in the U.S. until next year. The company will begin taking orders for the car soon, but the first production run will be less than 100 cars. The first shipments will hit California sometime next year.

Though the car looks amazing, the price tag on the vehicle is a bit high. The car will be selling for a cool $529,000, but Renovo founder's Christopher Heiser and Jason Stinson have noted that the car is unlike anything else in the U.S.

'We don't have to be the one car that our customer buys,' Heiser told Automotive News. 'We have to be the one car that does what we do better than anybody else.'

A video of the upcoming electric supercar can be seen below, and more information on it can be found on Renovo's website.
