New Toyota Minivan Helps Parents Yell at Their Kids

Toyata's new minivan is designed for parents with unruly kids at the backseat.


Toyota Sienna minivan has a so-called 'Driver Easy Speak' feature. It has a mounted microphone to amplify a parent's voice through the speakers in the back seats.


The automaker said the new feature was added so parents don't have to shout to passengers in the back.'


The Easy Speak is an option on the 2015 Sienna which is likewise being revamped with a completely new interior. The new model also has optional 'pull-down conversation mirror' that allows drivers to check on kids at the backseat without turning around.


'Driver Easy Speak' is offered only on vans that have Entune premium audio systems of Toyota. Pricing for the overhauled model and the speaker have yet to be announced.


Toyota launched Sienna at Baltimore arts festival this weekend as well as through social media.


It will arrive at showrooms this fall.
