Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)'s new CEO, Satya Nadella , sent an email to his employees at Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) about the future of the company and his visions about the upcoming projects and market strategy. Discussing this comprehensive email in a program on Bloomberg, Hardeep Walia, co-founder and CEO of Motif Investing said that this memo was of massive importance because it has hidden nuggets in it regarding Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)'s future strategy for ceasing the market tilt. He said that Microsoft business model is complex because the company is investing in different platforms and trying to gain the ground in some dedicated and specific domain for future market penetration. Walia thinks that Nadella's focus is Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Office and he will be focusing more on giving open source solutions to the companies and platforms in order to increase the brand line of the company.


Walia also said that the Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is going to focus on mobile and Cloud platform in order to enhance the cross-platform integration and solution independency in the enterprise domain. He said that there is a major difference between Nadella's memo and Steve Ballmer's memo which was sent to the Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) employees when Ballmer was the boss.


'If I compare this to Steve Ballmer's memo, right, which was more hardware-software service, it was more of a....it had elements of Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) in it, we want to integrate everything, we want to control, this memo had more elements of Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL), we want to be a platform operator, we might to do our own devices but that'll be strategic,' said Walia.


Ballmer's strategy was to focus on a full-fledged device having a complete, dedicated and fully functional platform where the things can work together to have a clear marketing product to move on with but Nadella is taking things more like the Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) style. He said that memo was a clear depiction of change of Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)'s strategy at the higher level.
