Lucina and Robin From Fire Emblem: Awakening Join Smash Bros. Roster

Nintendo and Team Sora announced today that Lucina and Robin from Fire Emblem: Awakening and Captain Falcon from F-Zero will be part of the Super Smash Bros. lineup for the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U. This brings the total roster to 36 characters so far. Fire Emblem: Awakening was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013, and the futuristic racing game F-Zero was released for the SNES in 1990. The announcement was made on the official website.

Super Smash Bros. will be available for the Nintendo 3DS on October 3, and the Wii U version will launch sometime later this year. You can pre-order the 3DS version now from Gamestop and Amazon.com. The Nintedno 3DS version SRP is $39.99 and the Wii U version will set you back $59.99.

UPDATE: The Wii U version is now available for pre-order through Amazon. This will be a hot item during the 2014 holiday shopping season, and it could potentially sell out. Be smart and pre-order it now, just in case!

Super Smash Bros. is Nintendo's popular fighting game where players can battle as various iconic video game characters such as Mario, Link, Pikachu and even Pac-Man. Nintendo also recently announced Lady Palutena from Kid Icarus would be a playable character in the game.
