Google+ now allows users to select desired profile names

Google Inc. (NASDAQ: GOOG) has now raised the barriers for the users to change their name on its social networking website, Google+. Google+ users can now easily edit their display or the profile name to something of their own choice, it may be real name or something else. Earlier, Google didn't allow the users to write the name of their own choice. Instead, it only used to display the name stored in the Gmail account.

Google plus is probably the most popular social networking website after the Facebook and is mostly composed of the users having real profiles with real name. It would not be wrong if we say that Facebook does have a number of fake profiles, whereas the Google+ mostly only has profiles belonging to real people.

This new feature, without any doubts, will provide bloggers and people responsible for producing better content on the Internet an opportunity to feature their content on the social networking website in a much better way. It will allow them change the name of their G+ profile to something similar to their blog or a website or anything they support such as +GermanWarriors.

However, that doesn't mean that Google will allow you to change the profile name as frequently as you want them to. It would take no less than three months for releasing the lock on the feature. Also, Google for now is only allowing this feature on the G+ pages.
