A lawsuit by the Federal Trade Commission asks T-Mobile to repay hundreds of millions of dollars for bogus charges to its customers. The suit alleges that the wireless provider added services such as a $10-per-month horoscope texting plan that were never authorized by the consumer, the Associated Press said. The FTC says some customers told T-Mobile that the subscriptions had not been authorized but the company collected 40 percent of the charges anyway.

Tropical Storm Arthur, the first named storm of the 2014 Hurricane Season, has formed off Florida's Atlantic Coast. The storm is anticipated to track northward toward the Carolinas as it strengthens, and forecasts say it will have minimal impacts for Florida, Gov. Rick Scott 's office said.


Eight out of 10 Americans will be on the road for July 4, and a new poll from Visiting Angels shows that more than half of adult children say their dad is a better driver than mom. (For the record, I'm offended.) But the majority (54%) say they'd rather road trip with mom. Those in favor of mom said she's neater in the car, while dad drives too fast. The national survey was of 400 adults, whose parents are 65 or older and currently driving.


After electrifying a nation to the beautiful game, the U.S. men's soccer team was eliminated from the World Cup by Belgium in a 2-1 match that stretched into extra time. Tampa-born Julian Green, a 19-year-old phenom, scored his first goal in his World Cup debut. In the end it was not enough and the United States could not advance beyond the round of 16.
