Oculus Obtains Carbon Design, the Team That Designed the Xbox 360 Controller


TechCrunch reports that Oculus has just stated that they will buy the Seattle-based Carbon Design studio. Beyond Microsoft projects, they have designed everything from wall clocks, to medical devices, to pet trackers. Turns out, Oculus has by now been working with Carbon Design for quite some time, but they won't say on what. They have been working with Carbon for approximately a year on numerous unannounced projects. The Carbon team will stay in their offices in Seattle for time being, however, they will work with the Oculus R&D team down the road in Redmond. Read More
