Alongside the likely unveiling of iOS 8 and OS X 10.9.3, Apple is rumored to be revealing some hardware too.

WWDC 2014 keynote, which kicks off at 10 a.m. (PDT) on Monday, June 2, will bring some 'exciting announcements' according to Apple, stirring speculations for the arrival of iPhone 6, iPad Air 2 or iWatch.

The highly probable unveiling among the hardware is a new MacBook Air with Retina.

The Financial Times recently suggested that Apple will announce an iBeacon or NFC-related home automation process at WWDC, as the event's audience of developers would likely jump at the opportunity to create programs or integrate the process into current apps.

Apple is also expected to announce the acquisition of Beats Music as well as the addition of Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre as executives on the Apple board of directors, IBTimes reports.

Alongside the WWDC hype, the iPhone 6 rumors have receivently received an alleged release date.

The next-gen iPhone will debut on September 19th, German phone company Deutsche Telecom told its customers, says apfelpage.de. The site reported that call center representatives were told by the operator to inform customers of the date to stop them from swapping operators.

However, the alleged release date may be nothing but an educated guess, Apple Insider commented.

Apple's launch history points to a Friday release of new iPhones, and September 19th does fall onto Friday. The iPhone 5S and 5C were both unleashed on September 20th, 2013.

An earlier report by German site iFun.de claims that the California-based tech giant is allegedly restricting retail employees from taking vacation in September 2014.

The release of 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be allegedly followed by the arrival of a 5.5-inch device. The latter model is suffering setbacks due to difficulties in battery issues and screen technology.
